A Volunteer Program of the Rhode Island Dental Hygienists' Association
Some school children in Providence have never been to a dental office. Some children share their toothbrushes with other family members. And in this culturally diverse population, some children do not even have a word for toothbrush in their native tongue. With the cooperation and support of the St. Joseph Pediatric Dental Center, RIDHA has provided free oral health services to over 70 inner city children. This ongoing volunteer program offers clinical oral hygiene services to underserved children in Providence. Services are offered on Saturday mornings with patients scheduled from 9 AM - 1 PM.
To become a volunteer, contact Susan Perlini, RDH at (401) .
